Dr. Allan Wachter
Dr. Allan Wachter was born in New York City and attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan. He also did his Internal Medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for his Allergy & Immunology training. He received multiple awards during his Fellowship for his research in molecular biology.
Dr. Wachter has practiced in Arizona for over 25 years. He is Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology a Conjoint Board of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and re-certified in 2001 and 2011. He has been named a “Phoenix Top Doctor” multiple times. Dr. Wachter is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of multiple medical societies such as: The Greater Phoenix Allergy Society, Arizona Allergy Society and the Maricopa County Medical Society.
Dr. Wachter has been very active in community service projects, teaching medical students and was most recently the Chairman of both the Maricopa County Asthma and Arizona State Asthma Coalitions. Dr. Wachter has continued his interest in clinical research by currently working with the Veterans Hospital and DoD doing asthma health outcomes research. He and his colleagues have published their asthma research findings in peer-reviewed Journals.
Dr. Wachter and his wife, Susan, are blessed with four daughters and he admits he can’t keep up with them. In his spare time, he likes to play piano, read and play with their new family puppy. It would be our privilege to be able to help you with your allergy and other health needs.
